TIM is the leading Group in Italy and Brazil in the ICT sector, develops fixed, mobile, cloud and datacenter infrastructures and offers services and products for communications and entertainment, putting itself at the forefront of digital technologies.
TIM addresses its offer to citizens, businesses and public administrations, as well as the wholesale market and employs specialized digital companies that implement solutions, also in partnership with major groups: Noovle is TIM’s cloud company, Olivetti is the digital hub with a focus on the development of Internet of Things solutions, Telsy operates in the cybersecurity sector and Sparkle builds and provides international infrastructure and services. Kena is the Group’s second mobile brand, while TIMVision produces and distributes entertainment content.

In 2021 TIM reached the Carbon Neutrality of its websites thanks to an international project to protect over 28 thousand hectares of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. The Group has in fact chosen to support the VCS - 1329 - Maísa REDD+ Project, a project that promotes the conservation and sustainable management of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, through the monitoring of illegal deforestation and the involvement of local populations to preserve the biodiversity of flora and fauna.

TIM has also supported two forestry redevelopment projects in Italy to increase urban green areas and generate services for the territory.
The first in the North Park of Milan where, together with the Climate Network team, the Group employees planted, In spring 2022, 150 new plants among trees and shrubs within a valuable forest regeneration event that contributes to increasing urban green areas and generating ecosystem services for the local territory.

The second one in Umbria where, in collaboration with the Climate Network team, TIM supported the Sustainable Forest Management (GFS) project in the areas of the Forest of Città della Pieve-Piegaro (PG).

The Parco Nord Milano forestation activity and the forest management activity in Umbria are part of Foresta Italia, the new National Climate Network forestation campaign that started in spring 2022 in partnership with Coldiretti and PEFC.

To continue reducing the environmental impact of all production activities, TIM supported a new forest conservation project in February 2023, with the objective of neutralising 2022 emissions generated by the use of the Group’s websites.
The project VCS 1382 - The Envira Amazonia Project, in Brazil insists on an area of 39,000 hectares of tropical forest and generates an average reduction of 1,259,646 tons of CO2 emissions per year for a period of 30 years from 2012 to 2042. The project helps to protect the critical habitat for endangered wildlife and in particular protects the presence of at least four endemic plants of the IUCN Red List of threatened species: acreana, odorata, longistipulata and macrophylla.

In November 2023, TIM collaborated with Rete Clima by taking part in a new reforestation initiative that involves planting 540 trees in the Aguzzano Urban Regional Park, in the northeast of Rome. The plants—both trees and shrubs—that will be put into the ground will generate benefits for the environment, for the climate, and also for citizens, thereby giving back value to the community, which is increasingly in need of renaturalization activities.

Also in February 2024, TIM continues its commitment through a new project for calculating and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions generated in 2023 by the hosting of TIM’s commercial and institutional websites, as well as those of TIM Group companies.
The Group has chosen to support the VCS 1382 - The Envira Amazonia Project, a forest conservation initiative in Brazil that helps protect critical habitats for endangered wildlife.

During the autumn season of 2024, with the support of Rete Clima, TIM’s reforestation activities continue.
In November, 400 plants—both trees and shrubs—were planted at the Parco Stura in Turin using the Tiny Forest technique, an innovative approach that allows the creation of high-density, fast-growing mini-forests, promoting biodiversity and increasing the resilience of urban ecosystems.

Also in 2025, TIM’s commitment continues through a new project for calculating and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions generated in 2024 by the hosting of TIM’s commercial and institutional websites, as well as those of TIM Group companies.
The CO2 offsetting was carried out by strengthening support for the forest conservation project, certified under the VCS-Verra standard, The Envira Amazonia Project REDD+, in Brasile, in Brazil. This project covers an area of 39,000 hectares of tropical forest and achieves an average reduction of approximately 1.2 million tons of CO2 emissions per year over a 30-year period (from 2012 to 2042). The project contributes to protecting critical habitats for wildlife and plant species. The Envira Amazonia Project is a REDD+ initiative (Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) aimed at preventing emissions that would have occurred due to deforestation and degradation in the absence of the project, while promoting the importance of forest conservation and sustainable management in developing countries.
The carbon offset projects supported by TIM participate in the VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) – Verra Program:

Also during the autumn season of 2025, with the support of Rete Clima, TIM’s reforestation activities continue.
In November, in the Mezzocammino neighborhood, within Municipality IX of Rome, 400 plants—both trees and shrubs—were planted using the Tiny Forest technique. Among these are bay laurel, holm oak, Turkey oak, manna ash, hazel, dog rose, and European red elder. Mezzocammino is a vast area characterized morphologically by small hills, partly of natural origin and partly of anthropogenic origin.

All reforestation activities supported by TIM are part of Foresta Italia, the national reforestation campaign by Rete Clima launched in spring 2022.
